Kingsclere has a long and noble history with many buildings of special architectural or historical interest. There are village shops, 3 pubs and good state and private schools nearby including a primary school which achieves excellent results. There is close access to the A339, which links Basingstoke (9 miles) and Newbury (7 miles) between the M3 and M4 corridors with good access to both. The mainline station at Newbury has a service to Paddington, through Reading. The mainline stations at Basingstoke and Overton have a service to Waterloo.
